Dr. Ro’s professional journey began at the University of Illinois at Chicago – College of Dentistry, where he earned his DDS degree followed by a Master of Business Administration focusing on finance and marketing from Loyola University.
Dr Ro purchased his first practice in the south suburbs of Chicago in 2008. Despite the challenging economic climate, Dr Ro successfully spearheaded the expansion of a three employee, one location practice to a robust network of more than 35 multi-specialty dental locations and over 100 dentists and specialists.
In 2019, Dr Ro founded DSO Strategy, where he focused on assisting entrepreneurial dentists to accelerate practice growth and create thriving DSOs which could attract institutional capital. Furthermore, Dr Ro has extensive experience working with lower middle-market private equity firms to acquire and scale successful DSOs.
Dr Ro is perhaps best known for his role as Head of Dentistry for Walmart. He was part of the leadership team at Walmart Health which crafted a successful strategy for launching and scaling more than 50 innovative multi-modality healthcare centers across four states that include dentistry and primary care.
Dr Ro resides in Atlanta (GA), with his two goldendoodles, Jordy and Milo however he considers himself a proud Chicagoan.
